50+ report for universities of applied sciences (VH)

All VH-universities create their own overview of 'other acquisitions'. This includes all the reuse of content that has not been compensated through the Easy Access compensation scheme, PoD compensation, or individual permission requests.

Requirements for the 50+ report

The annual 50+ report for universities of applied sciences (VH) consists of:

  • An overview of all longer acquisitions (also called 'non-short', i.e., more than 50 pages or 25% of a work) that have been used at your educational institution.

For each entry, please include:

  • The file name (.pdf, .doc)
  • The number of (re)used pages
  • The ‘circulation’ (number of students)
  • Licenses / contracts with publishers (if applicable)
  • Permission obtained for reuse of the work, from the publisher and sometimes the author
  • Name of the publisher (if applicable)

Note! Also include in your overview:

  • Infringing acquisitions for which permission was not requested (i.e., 'infringements', see article 5.7 of the contract).
